Nothing says summertime like a freshly cut pair of denims. With all the advantages of normal jeans without the extra heat and hassle of normal pants, you really can't go wrong with a pair of Tom Sawyers. But let it be known that not just any pair of cutoffs can be classified as true sawyers. There are guidelines one must follow when Sawyerizing chosen denims.

First off:
-Do not cut pants that one may still choose to wear come winter. It isn't going to be warm forever.

Next:
-Previous to Sawyerization, put the jeans on and mark off where you would like cuts to be made. You may then take the jeans off and make a straight cut across****

ETIQUITTE:
It is important to make sure your Sawyers are as proper as possible.
-Make sure your pants arent too crotchy or high. Keep a reasonable sag without being too JNCO.
-Belts are acceptable, but true Tom Sawyers are fashioned with string instead.
-There will be excess string from your cuts, be sure to remove all string.
-Most importantly, any true pair of Tom Sawyers must be cut above or at the kneecap. If you go below, they become Huck Finns(pussy).
